WEISSBURGUNDER RIED TATSCHLER 2023
WEISSBURGUNDER RIED TATSCHLER 2023
Wine of controlled origin, Leithaberg DAC, dry, contains sulphites
The Tatschler vineyard, first documented in 1570, is one of Burgenland's most renowned and prestigious white wine sites. It lies in a sheltered, bowl-shaped location east of Großhöflein. Thanks to its southeast-facing orientation, the vines benefit from early morning sun. The adjacent forest brings cooler air in the evenings, preserving the wine's freshness and fruitiness. The predominant crystalline bedrock with a light limestone layer forms the foundation for this powerful yet delicately spicy Pinot Blanc.
"Pale yellow-green, silver reflections. Delicate notes of white nougat, fine herbal spice, yellow pear fruit, with a mineral undertone. Juicy, elegant, light-footed, fine nuances of white stone fruit, balanced, with delicate citrus zest, a salty finish, already well-developed." Tasted by Peter Moser for Falstaff
food accompaniment
food accompaniment
An elegant accompaniment to delicate fish dishes, light meats, or refined vegetables. Its texture and subtle seasoning harmonize particularly well with creamy textures and gentle roasted aromas.
Recipe tip: Fried pike-perch on leek vegetables with white wine foam.
This wine will bring joy for many years to come thanks to its complex, mineral structure.
We recommend a large white wine glass (Burgundy glass).
