CUVÉE RIED FÖLLIKBERG 2019
CUVÉE RIED FÖLLIKBERG 2019
Quality wine, Burgenland, dry, contains sulphites
The Ried Föllikberg is an alluvial cone near Großhöflein. Our oldest Blaufränkisch vines thrive on its heavy, calcareous soil. In combination with some Zweigelt, this creates a powerful, spicy red wine.
Deep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle lightening of the edges. Fine herbal spices, a hint of cassis and blackberries, delicately of liquorice, underscored by minerals. Medium complexity, close-meshed, some nougat and ripe cherries, sticks well, has aging potential. (tasted by Peter Moser, Falstaff)

food accompaniment
Our clay cuvée is ideally suited to spicy meat dishes, braised vegetables or hearty vegetarian dishes.
Recipe idea: Try a classic Boeuf Bourguignon with a red wine and juice reduction – the dark aromas harmonize wonderfully with the cherry and pepper notes of the wine.
