BLAUFRÄNKISCH RIED REISBÜHL 2021
BLAUFRÄNKISCH RIED REISBÜHL 2021
Wine with controlled designation of origin, Leithaberg DAC, dry, contains sulphites
The Reisbühl vineyard is one of Kleinhöflein's most historically significant sites – first documented in 1570. This southeast-facing site at the foot of the Leitha Mountains combines calcareous, skeletal soils with a warm microclimate. The Blaufränkisch from this vineyard is profound, dense, and precise, underpinned by chalky minerality and dark spice. A wine with warmth, power, and a robust structure.
"Deep ruby garnet, violet reflections, broad rim. Delicately smoky and herbal notes underlie dark berry fruit, black cherries, a touch of nougat. Complex, juicy, sweet blackberry jam, ripe tannins, mineral and saline finish, Morello cherries on the aftertaste, a substantial companion at the table." Tasted by Peter Moser, Falstaff

An ideal accompaniment to game dishes, hearty beef or savory vegetable dishes with roasted aromas.
Highly recommended: pink roasted saddle of venison with celery puree, cranberry jus and fried mushrooms.
Younger vintages should be opened or decanted a few hours before consumption.
We recommend a large red wine glass.
